British woodland game designs

The brief for this project was to design an eco-conscious board game that combines fun with education, celebrating the vibrant flora and fauna found in Britain's forests. I was given creative freedom with the character design, colour palette, and layout—so there were plenty of exciting design decisions to explore!

The first game, a classic memory pairs format, features 12 original illustrations of British woodland plants and animals. These have been beautifully printed onto sustainably sourced wooden discs by The Sugar Shed.

The second game, Woodland Trees and Waterfalls, is inspired by the traditional board game Snakes and Ladders, and uses the same family of illustrated characters. It too has been printed on eco-friendly wood and, like the memory game, comes with plastic free packaging—something I’m especially excited about!
